This is by far my favorite cold weather coat but it is so difficult to wear because it can't be worn when it's raining. Considering that Los Angeles only has few cold weather days, it took quite awhile to find the perfect time to wear this.

The semester just started and I'm really confused. I'm not in the mood to do my homework because it requires effort since I go to an advanced and difficult school. Coming right off a very relaxing and fun break, I am just not in the mood. Also, everything in my life keeps changing and right now one of my best friends left my school and everything is feeling really weird and I haven't adjusted. I guess people are right when they say the only constant and permanent thing in one's life is change itself.

Besides my moping, I have had this dress for awhile from Nasty Gal but never really wore it. It's be evil twin and has the sickest print on it I'm in love but I am wearing a small and I swim in it! I had to put a tie around it and scrunch up the fabric there because the small fit like a large...weird.

Before going to a party I went ice skating with some friends while wearing my absolute favorite Nasty Gal coat and sipping on hot chocolate...even though it's a nice sunny 80 degrees out today, the night still managed to pretend it was winter and I was able to wear my jacket and not want to strip it off. It's really annoying though that since it has fur I can't wear it when it rains. ):

Oh and about New Years: I think it's my least favorite holiday. There are too many plans to choose from and nothing changes about a person from 11:59 to 12:01. One is still the same exact person and I think making resolutions is wonderful and all, but the only time I see change being implemented in my life is if something dramatic happens, such as changing schools, which I would love to do. I guess goals are great, but most people forget about their resolutions and the goals which are actually carried out come from more than a resolution on a late night.

To Take My Mind Off Of Things

So since this Los Angeles weather has decided to just skip winter, I figured I might post some ideas of summer since besides missing winter, it's what I'm thinking about..
I'd love to get away from L.A. and go to the Maldives right now. Actually, I'd love to get away to anywhere but here right now...way too much stress. Yes, I'm a 15 year old who needs a vacation by herself. Not to rant, but movies certainly put high expectations on having best friends. They make everything seem so perfect and not that I buy into it, but it would be nice to have friends as in movies and on t.v.. Let me tell you, my friends suck, and I can't think of one that doesn't in some way..woo !

Crew Love

These are definitely three of my favorite pairs of shoes. I don't think they have really been on this blog since I rarely ever post (It's going to change, promise!) but I wanted to show them because I'm in looooveee. Oh and of course my regular black boots are a favorite but they're always on here so.....

1. Black Velvet Doc Martens - I got them a couple weeks ago and I love them! I was debating between these and the velvet doc marten sneakers and I ended up liking these better. I'm still adjusting to the whole huge foot aspect of doc martens because I personally prefer a slimmer look on feet but I couldn't resist velvet black boots ever since a pair of See by Chloé's I wanted so badly a couple years ago sold out before I could buy them. They had just a little patch of velvet (ahhh)

2. Topshop Saffi Platform Heel - ....I'm in love........is there anything more I have to say about the perfect black heels that I couldn't ask more for?

3. Studded pair of Justin boots - It took me hours to hand-stud these boots but I love them too much and yes I throw the word love around a lot but these are my babies that I get compliments on every time!

So I cannot believe these boots have never been on here because I am in love with them and they are my babies. They took me almost an entire day to stud them because, well, I took the long way to do the studs. Either way, I could not love them more and they are one of my favorites in my ever-growing black shoe collection. I'll definitely be doing close-up shots to them later! Also, considering my need to not wear all black all the time (I swear I don't mean to it just ends up happening, although this could be a representation of my mood since I hate my high school, yet I am not in some lets-wear-dark-colors-I'm-depressed, because I'm not into that. And now that it the longest run on incomplete sentence thank you very much). Okay, back to my point, saw the denim shirt and just kind-a had to have it especially since it has a perfect collar!

I am going to assume that many of you think it is strange that I am posting photos of an infinity tattoo but I wish to explain. Even though I do not plan on getting it any time soon, I think I have come to the conclusion that I want it. As much as I hate the idea of a tattoo because I think in many ways it can ruin an appearance. So although I hate having something permanently inked on my body, there is an appealing aspect of this infinity.
As I see it, all humans long and have a desire for something permanent. The thing is, in our materialistic, purely physical world, nothing is permanent because it dies, get ruined, and will never be with us from the beginning until the end. As much as many of us would like to say we love having change, deep down, everybody loves having that secure feeling that something will be permanent. Knowing that nothing is permanent, I saw the infinity sign. This sign is never-ending, and in a way is security. The infinity never ends, making it something permanent because there is no specific start or end to it, just like a circle.
Also, I think the most intriguing part about the infinity sign is what it signifies to me. Seeing something that is permanent, gives me reassurance that nothing else will ever give me, and the fact that this symbol keeps going on, encourages me to do the same. Although this might sound cheesy, I still feel I have to say it. Many of you will laugh: what possibly could a girl who is merely 15 have gone through? Perhaps it is not nearly what you have experienced, and perhaps I do not have the same wisdom, but at the same time, maybe I do. There have been so many events and incidents that I never understood what I have done to deserve this. The amount of "bad" things that happen to me is unlike many other people, and I've just kind of accepted it and realized that it will pass and all it will leave will be a memory. And I guess, the infinity symbol is just telling me that there will be an end because nothing else is permanent. I do not know if I have given you the right idea, but I like the idea of this never-ending symbol that is permanent, because there is nothing else in our world which is like that, and which is guaranteed to be that way.
Well, I hope i've described my reasoning a little bit to help.

I guess I cannot resist much of anything? Except champagne colored cars..oh my don't get me started on that.

I've been searching for the perfect plaid oversized shirt that is not too warm/not too cold, for awhile now. When I finally found this one I fell in love because the plaid is barely noticeable and I am not the biggest fan of plaid, and it was a deep purple. Ah too good. Oh and since I love looking "school girl" like, I put on some knee highs and a flowy mini skirt.

Current obsessions: Tiger, Skulls, and the school girl look. I am definitely starting to own a lot of clothing with those three. And the color oxblood is slowly creeping in.

School. School. Have I mentioned, school? And a very busy end of summer? I have had not time, but I'm determined to make some time!
Anyways, I just got my hair straightened and if you can't tell from other pictures, I have long, thick super curly hair so getting it straightened by a professional is always very exciting! I'm thinking about getting the Keratin Treatment that makes one's hair straight for a couple months

Yes, these are still pictures from Catalina Island that I forgot to post. Sorry about that, or as I would say, "My b." I am kind of obsessed with this shirt due to its versatility. Yeah, it's annoying that a couple people I know have purchased it too, but that doesn't stop me from wearing it constantly. The cut has that preppy school girl look yet it's sheer which makes it more risky you could say? For me, a basic and investment doesn't always mean something incredibly pricey. This shirt was around $40 I believe and even though that's reasonable in my teenage world, to many this a dirt cheap shirt which will deter people from making it a basic when in fact it is truly a wonderful shirt.
Oh and to take a break from boots since I generally stay away from flats and sandals because I dislike them; I am rockin' a pair of those Chuck T's.

I almost feel as if every couple months or so I have these revelations about life and my blog.

At one point, I was about to make this blog very personal. It would be my emotional outlet from everything going on in life and just a place to escape and vent. I soon realized since it is still a "fear" of mine that people I know will find out about this blog, that doing so would not be very wise. Now it seems as if every blog is becoming the same of posting outfits and writing little blips that are nearly worthless. It's becoming harder and harder to stand out in the blogging world just as I will have to learn how it is in the real world as I am growing up. Yes, I am 15 and have my emotions and teenage problems. As much as I would put them onto this blog, that's not what anyone is here for. My intention is to show people the style of a Los Angeles teenager. There are many blogs displaying that, but I really want to show everybody. There are so many stereotypes and there is so much hype about L.A. kids that I want to give everyone a better idea while also expressing my personal style. Think what you want of my aspiration for this blog, but to me this is more than just another blog on one's blog roll, it's another world from my own which I love so much.

One of my favorite places to get away from Los Angeles. It's the best beach town and I go every year. The best part is how small it is and how I know every store and street by heart. I know which restaurants are the best and my favorite spots on all of the beaches. I know my favorite hikes and walks, it's overall just perfect. This picture shows the bay, Avalon bay. You can only see the top half of my outfit but the bottom was just a pair of Toms, nothing special.

It's funny how embarrassed I am of my blog. When I think of it and look back, I see outfits and clothes I would never wear now. At the same time, I am proud of how much I have changed, and how I have somewhere to document it. Even though I'd be mortified if anyone ever found out about my blog, I still continue it nonetheless. This does make it quite hard to get pictures of myself anywhere but in the middle of nowhere, actually, it makes it impossible. I would love to have better backgrounds and locations but that would require another person. I'm pretty done with the whole photographing in nature deal and would rather photograph on Sunset blvd. or at cafe. Somewhere more interesting. Even so, I currently cannot so bare walls with the occasional natural backdrop will do. I guess I just dislike the idea of photographing yourself not in the place you are actually wearing the outfit too.

Either way these summer days have been pretty amazing, but have also made me lazy about dressing and making me very rushed. Slowly I plan to talk more about my life as a teenager in Los Angeles and what the entails and all about other teenagers, etc. I think you'd all find that much more interesting and I also want to look back and see my thoughts on LA.

1. I apologize for not blogging in ten days (?) I believe it is? You would think one has more time over summer but I seem to have the same amount of time except I don't get dressed in anything but lounging clothes and on all of the days where I do get dressed, I am running out of the house and I don't come back. Therefore, no photographing of outfits has occurred over summer. Yet...

Alright so it's starting to heat up. Well not really for southern California, because there is no sweltering heat like summer always brings, but the sun is starting to come out. Previous to this, it was tights and long sleeve dress weather. I fell in love with this dress when I saw it in November and it sold out immediately but I made my sister drive to the only store that had it. Yeah she made me pay her $10......
Anyways, now that I come to think of it, I got this dress in December. That means I have had it for six months and it certainly doesn't feel like that. I figured it was about time the perfectly plum color was displayed on here so here it is!

So though it may look as if this is a polka dot dress, it is actually a dress with white sunflowers on it. I love how easy it is to wear this dress even if it isn't very summer like, sometimes the weather inclines one to dress otherwise. I switched it up by wearing my purple boots which I am simply in love with. If you haven't observed, I really only wear my black boots I purchased over a year ago from Urban Outfitters. They have been worn thin too many times and repaired in countless ways. I have lived in them ever since and even acquired a boot tan over the summer. Well it's summer again; I am trying to not have a boot tan, perhaps a Toms tan if any? Anyways, now I have these purple ones which somehow end up going with everything but my dog chewed up one of the laces so I can't really wear them again at the moment.....

I have never really taken pictures with my backpack, and I guess this doesn't really give you a good idea of it, but here's a glimpse. It's a vintage brown leather backpack that is huge and has been worn to it's death by the previous owner and me. It's funny, this vintage backpack, is owned by around five other people at my school....mass market vintage? Either way, it's definitely old but has lasted. I bought a couple of items from Topshop and this dress was one of them. I keep forgetting to photograph my outfits because when I get home from school I am so tired I usually change out of my clothes and collapse. Well now it's summer, so expect more consistency!

Definitely obsessed with these boots. If you don't recall, or you have not been reading this blog for long, I have had my black boots from Urban Outfitters since February of 2010 and have pretty much worn them every day to the point that I had a boot tan (how attractive?). Anyways, I am very particular to my boots and even though I own some that are more expensive, of high quality, and in better shape, those black ones are and forever will be my favorite boots. It is good to have variety of over-used shoes of course and these purple boots are wonderful. They aren't that bright and noticeable, just right. Too perfect for words.

I am obsessed with this Anthropologie top. It has the perfect amount of flowy feel that I enjoy and with a lilac bow in my hair and the usual boots, its one of my favorite "moods" to wear. Truthfully, it may be because for the time I have had this blog, I have kept it a secret from all of my friends and family, and I prefer it that way. When they find out, I think I will have two emotions, one will be the feeling of embarrassment because truthfully I am embarrassed by the archives of this blog and my outfits. Since I'm always loving all things moon and star printed (galaxy/nighttime) items, it is no surprise that when the chance came for me to get a moon necklace I could not pass it up. This necklace is shaped so perfectly and so detailed that I almost feel it can't be fully captured by the camera and must be seen in person. There are three necklace I wear all the time, two of which I do not take off, and this moon will now be added to them.
Even so, I am beginning to debate if I am having too many chains because they keep getting tangled and such so perhaps some editing of charms will have to occur.
Anyways, jewelry wise, rings and bracelets always get in the way when writing at school so I really love necklace and I currently am loving mineral,crystal, moon, star and many other stone shaped necklaces.

I really want my own pair of these boots. I always thought they would not be that handy but these and a deep green pair are on my list! This dress was one of those purchases that one checks everyday to see if it is on sale or back in stock because I for one did not find this dress worth $80. So when I was able to get it I was so happy because it has the perfect witch/school girl/i hate everyone (how did that get in there?!?!) kind of feeling. I believe the last one mainly has to do with the weather because my tolerance for people is plummeting. Besides that, it has been raining in Southern California and people won't stop talking about earthquakes and radioactive rain..........well can we not have that happen? (I guess the rain one kind of is?)

I have had an overload of homework. I even cancelled my plans for tonight just so I could take a break and catch up on t.v.

This new thing with all of my friends is to have tumblrs and I always thought of making one, but who knows. It's funny, because everybody tells each their tumblr urls, but no one, not even my sisters or best friends know about this blog. I like it that way. It's my own little piece away from the rest of my life.

So the leather shorts are definitely not the best. A cheap buy that will have to suffice my need, but they work!
I am debating about doing a most used items post. (basics?) This jacket being one of the items.

Excuse my lack of posting, this week has been awful. I don't know if I have a right to say that considering I am a teenager, but in a ~~child's~~ world, this has been a very bad week.
This very moment in time makes up for the whole week.
On rainy days, I prefer to have my window wide open to feel the cool air and hear the rain. Yes, I am one of those people who sounds crazy, but you have to be in the moment to understand.
So right now, it is raining somewhat hard, my window is open, I am listening to Bon Iver, and my favorite candle is lit (Capri Blue Volcano). This moment right now is so perfect, especially for a Sunday, that I couldn't resist writing about it.
Later today, I hope to find a covered spot outside so I can read Pride and Prejudice and be outside.

The best thing to have in your closet is that pair of go to shoes that you can match with every outfit and will never look bad with one. These We Who See Fringe boots are exactly that and they have gone through some tough times. Two days ago, I got the heel replaced, the sides sewn up because it was ripping and got them polished. With all of these fixes being made, I came to the realization that sometimes you don't have to replace something you love dearly, you can just fix it.

This thing is called Wreck This Journal.
For people like me who own tons of beautiful journals but have never kept one.
My mom thinks this is absolutely ridiculous but I am committed to finishing it no matter what and to document it on this blog. I was going to do one page a day, but now I think I will do two, sometimes three.
Okay, maybe four(:
I do not know how this will look, but I just bought it and this is how it looks. I am excited to see how this is documented. So, I will post EVERYDAY. Wow, I know right? So either on top of an outfit or muse post, you will not be amused by this lovely journal.
